“Cheryl, good news! David was accepted into the (Santa Rosa) preparatory orchestra. He’s very excited. Thank you! He couldn’t have done it without you.”

CHERYL TEACH MUSIC
People often ask about our name, Cheryl Teach Music, wondering if Teach is my last name. Actually Teach is my middle name and Music, Music is my last name. What???
Some folks wonder about and question the grammar of “Cheryl Teach Music.”
Well, here’s the real story and it goes like this: My dad, a musician, entertainer and music educator, “Cousin Jack” Franklin (his stage name), used to say to me “Cheryl, teach music!” He was so very creative with his spelling and grammar and he always printed in capital letters, so it was ‘CHERYL TEACH MUSIC’.
And there you have it. It’s good to listen to your parents and do what they tell you. I do just what my dad told me to do; CHERYL TEACH MUSIC and I’ve been making my living at it for a very long time. I’ve learned over the years, our name Cheryl Teach Music, speaks to everyone in the way that best fits their personal needs for music in their lives.
